I have started my 100 Days of Self-love program a month ago and already learnt a few surprising things about myself. Being consistent and keeping enthusiasm has always been tricky for me as I can lost interest easily (you know if there is a brighter ring that catches my attention). It is not the case now but honestly speaking some days were challenging to squeeze a video shooting or editing into my daily schedule.
So why am I doing this still?
Because I am having a challenging period which my friends think would be a reason why not to do this 100 days journey but here is the thing. I have some issues to be solved but who hasn’t? Who has never felt overwhelmed and pushed by the expectations towards them? I guess we all have been there and these are the exact times when you need self-care!
I know because I am with you on this. I perfectly know how it feels to be so weak when you are supposed to be the strongest and when you don’t see the end of the tunnel. I also know how much self-care can ease this stress as who would know exactly what you need if not you?
Based on your feedbacks, the activities that require inner work seem a bit more difficult to practice but do you know what that means? That’s the area you need extra attention to. I know it is easier to buy a bunch of fresh flowers for yourself without any special occasions (video in Hungarian: HERE) than finding 10 reasons to prove that everything is OK (video in Hungarian: HERE ). So pay attention to your reaction to the exercises I share daily on my social channels. I also found it challenging to find 10 reasons and not because I am not grateful for what and who I have but rather due to the fact that when you are overwhelmed it seems hard to see the positive side of your life. I know that.
So if you found it hard, I know what you feel and that is why I decided to post an article from time to time here on my website with a selection of a few easier to do self-love exercises. The most important thing is that you start practicing self-care, not with all the 100 exercises, not even with 30 but just one. Believe me, I know what a difference they will bring to your life, too!
Here are a few suggestions from the first month of 100 Days of Self-love #100DOS:
Outdoor: 100/23 video (in Hungarian: HERE) Road trip. Or go on a ride with a bus or train, the vehicle is not important, just get out and breath!
Soul: 100/6 video (in Hungarian HERE ) No complaining. You don’t need any special equipment for this, just pay attention to your thoughts and words. Don’t beat yourself up if you complain, just pay attention what situations trigger that. You will learn a lot, I guarantee!
Home: 100/22 video (in Hungarian: HERE ) Relaxing bath. It is also an easy to do self-care act, you just need to dedicate the time and p.s. make sure to spend time on skin care, too! (speaking from experience)
