Lately I have been caught up in work and several projects but I took a moment to look back on my past years. It all started as a childish dream with a blog and by today it has been affecting the lives of thousands. Even for those 10 mins daily when they read my #dailyPLUS message and though I have not reached my final goal yet, I am working hard on it as I feel that I found my true calling. My drive is to go against the popular (and misleading, false) messages of the media and let women (and men) believe that they can be loved. They are worthy and beautiful where the latter has deeper meaning than the looks.
I remember my teenage idol, Axel Rose and the life of rock stars show many similarities (not referring to the sex&drug&rock n roll part) with every human’s wish to become successful. I believe we all need to do certain rock star things in order to fulfill our desires whether it is spreading body positivity or any personal goal. Here are a few points I collected how you can become a rock star too:
What do rock stars do?
I do an activity with 110% or I even do not start it at all. Passion, being determined are so important to achieve whatever goal you set as your first thought in the morning and the last before falling asleep should be your goal. The mission you fight for, the one which you represent and wish to achieve so bad! That force all musicians have within which drives them to work for all steps on the ladder to success, whether it is a small village concert or an arena. The only way to suceed is to be passionate! Without it you quickly give up even blogging.
Whether you decided to improve your self-confidence or decide on becoming a professional pole dancer, practice and continuous learning is inevitable. Some musicians are natural born talents but even they practise for hours daily to improve their skills. You need to do exactly the same as there will be always something new in your field you can (and need to) acquire. Remember, only those fail who give up!
While in case of musicians we refer to fans, in my life (just as in yours) I talk about the safety net of friends, family, helpful strangers who support you in your journey and give you strength, courage and energy to go for it. If you are lucky you have more but do not forget to pay attention to them, ask and accept their help and deepen the relationship with them. Because T(ogether)E(veryone)A(chieves)M(ore)!
You find their first song, fall in love with the music, buy all their CDs and follow their tours. However a cancelled album release or concert could be really disappointing, right? Just as for musicians, it is crucial to be consistent for you in your field. Be punctual, reliable whom others can count on. Want to start blogging? After the first enthusiastic days you still need to keep on posting as your readers count on you! Are you a makeup artist? After the first successful training you held you need to plan the next ones and not let down your clients! If you miss this point, you can easily become a falling star…
Private (off stage) life of musicians influence fans in a big way. Pictures and videos of the admired star can have an effect on fans’ lives and you even do not have to be a celebrity to make an impact. You influence every single person you encounter with at work or in your private life. The last client at your hairdresser saloon or the neighbour mom you advised the other day got under your influence by getting into interaction with you. Why not to make it a positive one? We are all students but teachers as well at the same time and we can educate others on certain fields of life. The decision lays in your hand whether you make it a positive one or not!
Time to work as neither your age nor your look determines your chances to achieve your dreams!
