In my previous chapter I went on about family gatherings (check it HERE ) and today’s story happened at one of those crazy Sicilian dinner parties. Those who follow me on my social media channels know that a few weeks ago I started my daily body positive broadcast on the latest social buzz, Periscope and during my 10 days spent on this wonderful Italian island I did a few live shows too. Whenever I felt something was taking my breath away and I did not have my hands full posing in front of the camera, I did live broadcasts like that Thursday evening when we were the guests of Andrea (male name here) and his wife Nella.
At the peak of the party, my crazy Sicilians brought out even traditional folk wear to match their songs and I felt that a simple photo would not give the atmosphere back, people needed to see that „live”. So before switching on the live broadcast on Periscope, I asked their permission as I did not want to act like a paparazzi. First they really did not get the main point of this channel but once they understood that practically the whole world would watch them having fun, they were in. They felt so natural in front of the camera and their uplifting positive personalities made the show a special one. Later on I had to dowload the application to 3 phones as obvioiusly they wanted to check and share with their friends the moments captured in the video.
I’m not sure how Hungarians or any other nationalities would react in such a case but these southern people definitely know how to have a good time and not afraid to show it. They are ready to jump on the fun wagon any time, especially if nice food and laughter are included. They even organize a folklore group for you to a local bar to teach you about their culture and of course to have a good time.
The following pictures have a not so cool background story though as I would have needed their laidback mentality while standing on the slippery rocks with the wild waves touching my feet as we took these photos. I was quite scared but I guess you don’t see that on the final results. I was so determined to shoot in this beautiful environment as this Yours Clothing colourful swimdress (and let me just highlight here the tummy control which works amazingly!) and matching cover up look stunning there.
