I have been loving Scholl’s innovation, the Velvet Smooth express pedi which helps to remove old and hard skin and which I have been testing for couple of weeks now. Before sharing my experience, I have to admit that I am quite an extreme case (oh my Hungarian pedicure specialist would tell about it a lot) as the skin on my heels tend to become thick like a rhino’s. And since I left my favourite specialist behind when moving to Italy, things just got worse.
Spring is here and we threw boots to the wardrobe, replacing them with sandals which were always scary for me. All my life I tried to select heel-covered summer sandals to hide the thick skin but hopefully this drama is over for good now!
Scholl’s Velvet Smooth is available now in pink too (how girly, right?) and they expanded the product family with a relaxing liquid for feet bath and a skin smoothening serum.
I have absolutely positive experience with the electric pedi device though I have to admit that my hard skin needed the harder head (as the standard head of the device is removable and you can choose a bit more harder surface head for thicker skin) which I have been testing daily in the last weeks. After using this harder head I change back to the normal, standard one and spoil myself once per week with a relaxing feet bath. Amazing how great those 10-15 minutes can be and I can’t stop daydreaming and planning in my head during these „me-times” which we all deserve! When bath is done I use the serum to make the skin even softer and to maintain the smoothness.
As written above, my heels are a bit of an extreme case so I needed a few days to reach the lower levels of hard skin (softness though came immediately after the first usage but I had to „dig down” to several layers so more time was needed). But now I definitely see and feel the change and decided to take care about my feet which mom calls one of the most important body parts and how right she is! My feet deserve the care – and yours too!
As you can see on the photos, even my beloved dog, Lulu felt intrigued and a bit jealous for my new inhouse pedi which I can highly recommend for you before sandal season hits!
