If it is summer then it is swimdress, light breeze on a sunny day, having a bath in the sea or in the pool and long walks in the evening. Of course there are women who think of the season as a dreadful period since summer means less clothes to cover their bodies and hide. Thankfully people at Persona by Marina Rinaldi agree with me and share the same thought: everybody deserves summer, regardless of their size. I was so happy to be asked to participate in an international project with my fellow German and Italian bloggers to show what summer means to us with the beautiful clothes and fashion.
I chose a place close to nature for the photoshooting and though we planned to go to the seaside, the weather hasn’t been generous lately but thankfully Maggiore lake is only 30 mins drive away and it is one of my favourite places of tranquility. It is so peaceful, so green and the snowy mountains surrounding the lake radiate infitine beauty. Since I am a big fan of boho and etno style, no surprise I chose this swimdress, resembling of African prints and the maxi dress which reminds me of the Moroccon mosaics. To me summer is freedom, sunshine, recharging of my batteries when I finally can be near water again which I adore so much. The sounds of the sea and the scents of the lake make me smile and so relaxed.
And what is my advice for those who dread wearing a bikini or a swimsuit? Don’t deprive yourself and your loved ones of the fun you may have together. A day on the beach is not about your extra pounds but about having a great time and creating memories which last forever. Believe me, your child or your partner will remember the feeling which was created by spending time with you, and not your cellulites!
