Soon we arrive to the end of my Sicilian chapters (which included some sport, too, check it HERE ) and I left 2 important thoughts to be inlcuded in the last 2 posts. Today’s central topic is a sentence which I heard multiply times per day which goes like: „I’ll think about that!”
I’m sure you know some people, if you are lucky they are your friends, whom you even don’t have to ask to do a favour? Those are the first ones to offer their help and you don’t have to feel embarrassed for asking help as no words are necessary. Well, I have met many of this kind in Sicily and I even did not know them that time. They were always ready to help as it was enough to say we love pistachio and the next day they delivered. I wrote earlier about their excellent problem solving skills (read it HERE ) and while I was among these beautiful people I really believed that nothing is impossible!
One late afternoon near the beach I spotted a group of elderly people, sitting around an old table in the shadow with cards in their hands. The next day they were there again and on the third day I went closer to join this fun group who were more than happy to teach me some card games. I did not get too much time for learning though as they threw me to the game immediately and with some help I won one round, after the many shameful ones, and it felt so good. When they saw the camera they immediately hugged me close and posed happily for a fun photo. Surely they have their own problems but they do not let negative thoughts ruin their happy moments – one of the biggest lessons I learned there. After my 10 day training I am on my way of recovery 🙂
